| Mr.
Shahzado Shaikh joined Audit and Accounts Service
of Pakistan in 1971. At present he is posted as Secretary,
Ministry of Population Welfare, Government of Pakistan. He
has held important portfolios in federal and provincial governments
and public sector organizations.
Mr. Shaikh did M.Sc in Chemistry from Sindh University, M.Sc
in Defence and Strategic Studies from NDC/ Quaid-e-Azam University,
Islamabad, Law from Sindh Univeristy, Post Graduate Diploma
in Economic Planning from Central School of Planning and Statistics,
Warsaw, Poland and got Certificate from Institute of Policy
Development and Management, University of Manchester, UK.
He has participated in a number of training programmes in
Pakistan and abroad. |

He
has vast experience in accounts, audit, finance and development,
and interaction with international organizations and stakeholders.
He has a keen interest in science and interpretation of Islamic
teachings in the contemporary society. He has authored following

Mr. Shaikh has contributed
articles on different issues in major national newspapers
including Dawn, The News and the magazines of AGPR (Perforit)
and Pakistan Bankers’ Institute. He contributed a weekly
column on main editorial page of daily Din in its combined
edition. As student he remained actively involved with student
development activities. He has delivered lectures on topics
of national importance in a number of prestigious institutions
of the country including National Defence College, Islamabad,
Pakistan Staff College, Lahore.
The writer has remained associated with a number of academic
institutions. He is a recipient of Life Time Achievement Award
by two institutions of Sindh. He has traveled far and wide
in the world.
